Hard work pays off sooner or later says Paralympian high jump bronze winner Varun Bhati

HE IS ONLY 22 and already won multiple awards in the sport of high jump. Polio stuck Varun at a very early age. Interestingly, high jump was not first choice of sport. Varun was into basketball from a very young age but his disability made him distant from the mainstream sport.

He took up to learning high jump and developed himself with hours of practice at times even practicing for 7 hours a day. Varun has completed his BSc. Mathematics (Hons) from University of Delhi.

Last year he notched up Bronze in the Rio Paralympics (T-42), a gold at IPC grand Prix in Dubai and a silver medal in JPC Championships in Germany.
