BCCI announces squad for one-off Test against Bangladesh

THE MSK PRASAD-led Selection Committee has announced the 16-man squad for the one-off Test against Bangladesh, starting February 9.

The BCCI took to its official twitter handle to declare the squad:

While Wriddhiman Saha has made a return to the squad following a match-winning double century in the recently-held Irani Trophy, Parthiv Patel has been snubbed despite scoring a match-winning century for Gujarat in Ranji Trophy final.

Also, promising opener Abhinav Mukund has made a return to the national squad. The Tamil Nadu batsman is the third opener in the team after KL Rahul and Murali Vijay. Futhermore, Ajinkya Rahane, who was ruled out of the last two Tests against England, has also made a return to the squad.

This will be the first time Bangladesh will play a Test in India.
