Dhoni's men look to close in on ICC T20 top spot

INDIAN CRICKET TEAM, which is placed second in the ICC T20 Team Rankings is set to play West Indies in a two-match T20 series at Florida, USA on August 27 and 28. What makes this series more interesting is that a 2-0 loss to the current  WT20 champs will see India slipping to the third position. In that scenario, the West Indies, who are currently placed third with 122 points will rise up to take India’s spot.

With 128 points, India is placed four points behind table topper New Zealand. A 2-0 victory over Windies will propel India to 132 points. Ratings further calculated beyond the decimal point will put India fraction of a point behind the Kiwis. A 1-1 tie will keep India at 128 points while West Indies will be given a point for their effort.
