Prannoy & Pranaav/Sikki ousted from QF of Swiss GPG
MEN'S SINGLES SHUTTLER HS PRANNOY ended his run of defending the title after losing to Shi Yuqi in the quarter-finals on Friday at the Swiss Grand Prix Gold.
The second seed Chinese had to fight for points in the first game and took it in his name 21-19 but the second game was an easy one, 21-11.
The fifth seed Indian had to bow out and it ended his winning run at the tournament.
On the other hand, mixed doubles duo of Pranaav Jerry Chopra/Sikki Reddy too were ousted from the tournament. The fourth seed duo went down against 5th seeds Chinese Zhang Nan/ Li Yinhui 21-19, 21-17.
With this, the Indian participation came to an end at Swiss GPG.
