Prannoy, & Pranaav/Sikki enter pre-quarters of Swiss GPG

HS PRANNOY inch closer to defending his title as he enters the pre-quarters of the Swiss Grand Prix Gold. He defeated Kieran Merrilees in straight games 21-17, 21-19.

And in the pre-quarters, he will face an old foe in 10th seed Qiao Bin from China.

Mixed doubles 4th seed duo Pranaav Jerry Chopra/Sikki Reddy got walkover in the opening round and will play Ko-Chi Chang/Hsin Tien Chang.

Subhankar Dey defeated Iztok Utrosa 21-17, 21-18 to set up a clash against Kanta who ousted Sameer Verma in a hard fought three-game battle 16-21, 21-15, 21-13. In the pre-quarters, Subhankar's winning run was ended by Kanta 21-19, 21-14.

On the other hand, men' and women's doubles duo of Manu Attri/Sumeeth Reddy were ousted by top seeds Chai Biao/Hong Wei 21-15, 21-19. Sanjana Santosh/Sara Sunil were defeated by Johanna/Lara 21-15, 21-15.
