Sindhu settles for Silver at the Hong Kong SS, defeated by Tai in straight games

WORLD NO. 3 TAI TZU YING defeats PV Sindhu to clinch the Hong Kong Superseries title, her second title. It was a straight game victory, 21-15, 21-17.

Sindhu was looking for a second consecutive title after winning the China Open Superseries Premier. But she knew her opponent Tai Tzu Ying won't let that happen with ease. Both fighting it out, the first game saw Tai as the dominant shuttler taking it 21-15.

Since the start of the second game, it was a neck to neck contest as both shuttlers keeping the difference between the points very low. Tai looking for a straight game victory while Sindhu trying to push the match into a decider.

Too many errors in the second game by Sindhu saw Tai taking good advantage of it. But both shuttlers not ready to give up till the end. The second game also saw some crazy shots of rally as both looked determined.

But today, Tai was the better shuttler out of the two on court and she rightfully deserved the title. Sindhu failed to win the title but nonetheless it was great run from the Olympic Silver medallist in the tournament.
