Pranaav/Sikki enter QF; Ruthvika triumph over Arundhati at Russia GP
MIXED DOUBLES PAIR OF Pranaav Jerry Chopra/Sikki Reddy inch closer to the title as they enter the quarter-finals of Russia Open Grand Prix. The second seeds defeated Artem Serpionov/Tatjana Bibik 21-19, 21-13. Next up for the Indian duo is yet another Russian pair of Aleksandr Vasilkin/Kristina Virvich.
It was a positive result even for the women's doubles pair as Jakkampudi Meghana/Poorvisha S Ram triumphed over Victoria Slobodyanyuk/Elizaveta Tarasova 12-21, 21-16, 21-12. They will next face Tatjana Bibik/Elena Komendrovskaja.
Meanwhile, in the women's singles category, two Indians were up against each other, Ruthvika Shivani and Arundhati Pantawane. The former had an easy victory 21-9, 21-10. The fourth seed will next face Elena Komendrovskaja. The other shuttler in this category Tanvi Lad too earned a place in the quarters after defeating Ekaterina Kut 21-10, 21-13.
Men's singles shuttler Siril Verma too join the others in quarters defeated 3rd seed Misha Zilberman 21-15, 21-9. He next faces 8th seed Zulhelmi Zulkiffli of Malaysia.
