PV Sindhu receives Khel Ratna award from President Pranab Mukherjee
INDIA PRESIDENT Pranab Mukherjee conferred the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award to shutller PV Sindhu for her exemplary performance in the sport of badminton. Sindhu had won a Silver medal in women’s badminton singles event at the recently concluded Rio Olympics.

The Khel Ratna is awarded annually by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and it is regarded as the highest sporting honour in India.
Alongside Sindhu, Bronze medallist Sakshi Malik, shooter Jitu Rai and gymnast Dipa Karmakar too were commemorated for their recent achievements.
