PV Sindhu sails into the QF at the Olympics; will face Wang Yihan next
WOMEN'S SINGLES SHUTTLER PV SINDHU continued her winning run at the Rio Olympics after she thrashed Tai Tzu Ying 21-13, 21-15 to seal a quarter-final berth.
She proved that, one of her core strengths lie in her smashes. This was a tough match and the pressure was on the 9th seed Indian but she didn't let it affect her.
A comfortable straight game victory for the 21-year-old but she next faces second seed Wang Yihan from China. The head-to-head count favours the Chinese but in the last encounter at the Denmark Open last year, Sindhu tasted success against the Chinese.
Olympics is a big stage and one can't expect what will happen but one thing for sure, expect an amazing clash between the two.
