Srikanth seals his QF berth at the Olympics; will face Lin Dan next

MEN'S SINGLES SHUTTLER Kidambi Srikanth storms into the quarter-finals beating Jan O Jorgensen of Denmark in straight games 21-19, 21-19.

As expected it wasn't an easy game for the 9th seed Indian. In both games, the Dutch gave Srikanth a tough time. Srikanth has been in an amazing touch this Olympics and he showed it once again against the Dutch who was one of the medal prospects.

This victory is massive for the Indian but he faces a bigger hurdle in the quarter-final. Two time Olympic champion Lin Dan. Srikanth has defeated the Chinese in the past but this would be the real test for the Indian.

Nonetheless, expect a mouth-watering clash on the 17th August between the two.
