Shame: Without a single win Jwala /Ashwini end their Rio campaign
WOMEN'S DOUBLES PAIR OF Jwala Gutta /Ashwini Ponnappa fail to win a single match in the group stage as they went down against Thai duo of Puttita Supajirakul/Sapsiree Taerattanachai 21-17, 21-15.
The fans were hoping that Indian pair will sign off in style but the Thai pair did not let that happen. In their campaign throughout, everytime the Indian pair was in the lead they failed to keep the momentum and eventually lost the match.
The same was seen in the final match against the Thai. Puttita /Sapsiree's comeback was commendable as they held onto their lead and won the match.
After this loss, Jwala/Ashwini's campaign at the Rio Olympics finally came to an end.
