Badminton chief coach Gopichand part of the 7 member committee of 'Khel India'

INDIAN BADMINTON CHIEF COACH Pullela Gopichand is now part of the seven member committee 'Khel India'. Khel India is an initiative by the Government for the development of sports in the country. Gopichand along with athlete Anju Bobby George are the new entrants.

They are the only two sports personalities in the committee. Anju who is known for her long-jump feats recently quit the Kerala Sports Council, where she was the president of the same.

Gopichand too is known for his achievements as a player and presently as the coach. The Khel India committee is headed by Sports secretary Rajiv Yadav.
