In pursuit of chasing a total around 300, the Indian team had lost Sachin Tendulkar early, but Dhoni came up to bat at no.3 position and took on the Sri Lankan bowlers from the word go. Dhoni has little trouble in dispatching the bowlers and continued dealing in fours and sixes. In the end, India had lost 4 wickets but Dhoni blasted 183* and once again finished off the match with a six. It was the highest score by a wicket-keeper and even today 183 remains Dhoni’s highest score in limited over cricket.
