Dhoni issued a non-bailable warrant by Anantapur court

INDIA’S LIMITED OVERS skipper MS Dhoni has been issued a non-bailable warrant by the Anantapur Court after for his controversial magazine photo, where Dhoni hurt the religious sentiments with a visual depiction of him as 'Lord Vishnu' in a business publication in 2013.

According to the reports, Dhoni has been asked to appear in front of the court on February 25.

In April 2013, Dhoni’s face was morphed as Lord Vishnu on the front page of a leading business magazine and this certainly hurt the sentiments of Hindus in the country.

As reported by ibtimes, The High Court also criticized the cricketer.

"A celebrity and a cricketer like Dhoni should know the consequences of hurting religious sentiments of people. He should have known the consequences of doing such ads. These celebrities are only signing ads without any responsibility. Their aim is to earn easy money without considering the problems it may create."
