Virat will have stands named after him in Australia post retirement, says Dhoni

THERE IS NO doubt that Virat Kohli loves batting on the Australian wickets. Not too long ago, Kohli almost single-handedly won India the Adelaide Test by scoring hundreds in both the innings. He also went to score centuries in Melbourne and Sydney in the same series.

India’s vice-captain in limited overs format has once again showed his class in scoring run on the bigger grounds down under. Over the years, while his compatriots might have struggled, Kohli has made batting look easy.

And, after his match-winning innings in the first T20 against the Aussies in Adelaide, skipper MS Dhoni showered plenty of praises on his deputy.

“I think in Adelaide they’ll be naming a stand after him. By the time he ends his career, quite a few Australian grounds will have a stand named after him. He’s batting really well.”

As reported by criclife, Dhoni further added,

“He is someone who reads the game also very well. Right from the very start, whenever we had any kind of interaction, he was always looking to improve himself. It’s good when youngsters grab a chance with both hands when they get it. Virat did it really well once he got a chance to bat up the order.”
