Dhoni becomes the first captain to smash 200 sixes in international cricket
EVER SINCE MS DHONI made his debut on the international stage, cricket fans have always expected towering sixes from him. For more than a decade now, the Indian skipper has been successful in depositing balls long into the stands across all the formats.
And yesterday, Dhoni notched up another record to his list by becoming the first and only captain in international cricket to smash 200 sixes.
The 34-year-old is head and shoulders above other current and past captains. Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting has 171 sixes to his name followed by the recently retired Kiwi captain Brendon McCullum (170). Chris Gayle (134) and Sourav Ganguly (132) complete the pack.
