STOOL SHOT: If they bowl bouncers, the only way I can play the helicopter shot is by standing on a stool: Dhoni

THE INDIAN CRICKET TEAM displayed a clinical performance in beating the Sri Lankans in the second T20 game yesterday at Ranchi and now have all the momentum on their side for the decider tomorrow. 

From batting, bowling to fielding, the men in blue were brilliant. After the emphatic win, skipper MS Dhoni came up with some interesting lines in the post-match press conference. As reported by Cricinfo, the hero of Ranchi explained about the importance of experimenting ahead of the World T20. 

Addressing questions about the promotion of Hardik Pandya and the lack of opportunities match-winner Yuvraj Singh is getting, Dhoni said,

“Bowling, everyone gets a chance to bowl. A lot of times you always experiment with bowling. What happens with batting is that you want to win games and you also want to give an individual a fair amount of time in the middle. It does not always go with the plan. Definitely in the coming games, if there is a chance of exposing someone to this kind of an exposure so that going into the T20 World Cup they know what their roles and responsibilities are."

“When a match starts, Yuvi is slotted in at No 5. It is difficult to get him to bat at a higher position than that. Because the top four -- the openers, No. 3 is Virat Kohli, No. 4 is Suresh Raina. If you look at these four, their record in India and overseas is extraordinary. It becomes slightly difficult.”

Indian cricket fans for some time have not seen the explosive and innovative helicopter shot from Dhoni and the 34-year-old came up with some funny lines to answer the media. 

“If they bowl me bouncers, the only way I can play the helicopter shot is if I stand on a stool."

At the moment, the Indian captain looks in high spirits and if the Lankans err in their line and length in the final T20, we might once again see Dhoni explode with the helicopter shot.
