Debutants Pune Supergiants absorb Albie Morkel and Saurabh Tiwary for IPL-9

THE RISING PUNE SUPERGIANTS have roped in Indian batsman Saurabh Tiwary and South African all-rounder into their scheme of things for the IPL-9 season. 

As reported by TNN, IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla confirmed their transfer from the Delhi Daredevils. 

 "The Rising Pune Supergiants have added more firepower to their batting line up by acquiring the services of all-rounder Albie Morkel and specialist batsman Saurabh Tiwary. Both players who represented the Delhi Daredevils in the previous edition, will now play for the Pune franchise.” 

While Tiwary started off his IPL stint with Mumbai Indians and won them a few games, Morkel was a key member of the Chennai Super Kings under Dhoni. 

Supergiants CEO, Raghu Iyer expressed his delight on the move. 

"We are pleased to have Saurabh Tiwary and Albie Morkel for the upcoming season. They both are proven performers in the Indian Premier League and will strengthen our team.” 

With Kevin Pietersen, Dhoni and Mitchell Marsh already in their ranks, the debutants look a very formidable unit.
