Rajasthan Royals reportedly offering their star Jos Buttler massive long-term contract
RAJASTHAN ROYALS ARE going all in to retain the services of their star batter Jos Buttler.
A new multi-year contract, ranging into tens of crores, will be offered to the England international, according to a report published by The Telegraph, a British daily.
The contract on the table may be for four years and worth over Rs 35 crores, suggest some reports.
There are also rumours doing the rounds that the 32-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman may even quit international cricket in favour of this massive contract, and concentrate on playing in T20 leagues. But this has not been confirmed by any official source.
Buttler has been a part of the Rajasthan Royals roster since 2018 and he was the best performing player on the side when the reached the final of IPL 2022.
RR are making a big push to win their first IPL title since they won the league in its debut season, and consolidating their squad by locking down their best players with long-term contracts is a big step in that direction.
