Security concerns forces Chennai Super Kings to move base to Pune

AFTER CONSTANT threats from several protesters in Chennai, the IPL matches have been moved out of the city. Pune will now play host to the remaining home games for the Chennai Super Kings.

The announcement was made after the CSK management met with the police officials in Chennai. After the authorities couldn't promise further security for the upcoming games, the BCCI decided to shift CSK's base to Pune.

Even before the first match of the season between CSK and KKR was played, protesters warned against staging a match in Chennai and even threw shoes at the cricketers during the game.

While it is disheartening for CSK's fans and the players, skipper MS Dhoni's experience of playing at the MCA ground in Pune will help his team.

Chennai will take on Rajasthan Royals in Pune on April 20.
