AMBATI RAYUDU HAS been signed by St Kitts & Nevis Patriots as their marquee player for Caribbean Premier League 2023.
The 37 year old recently retired international cricketer is replacing Tristan Stubbs, who is unavailable for this season.
He is set to become the second Indian player ever to feature in the CPL 2023, after Pravin Tambe. But his participation is subject to a BCCI decision.
The Indian cricket board has proposed a new rule that would ban retired Indian players from playing in overseas franchise leagues for 1 year. That's the reason Rayudu was unable to play in the recently concluded Major League Cricket.
However, if the rule is not applied, the Caribbeans may well be the next desitiation for the Chennai Super Kings superstar.
