Dubai Super Series Finals: Sindhu enters finals beating Chen Yufei in straight games

PV SINDHU defeats Chen Yufei 21-15, 21-18 to enter the finals of Dubai Super Series Finals.

A good start from Sindhu as she took a series of 5 points in a row but this left Chen frustrated and she showed her mighty power to level the score. And once Chen got her groove back, it was a neck-to-neck battle between the two.

Both giving their best and not letting either to go ahead. Till the 10th point it was a close contest and finally with a bad shot from the Chinese saw Sindhu take the lead in the first game interval.

The battle only got tough post interval but Sindhu continued to hold the upper edge and after the 15th point, Chen couldn't come close to the Indian.

Sindhu with her powering shots and smashes claimed the opening game 21-15.

The start of the second game too saw Sindhu in a comfortable position as she had a good lead which she maintained. But Chen kept coming back with her shots forcing Sindhu to fight hard, nonetheless it was the Indian again who was leading at the interval once again.

The Chinese knew that this was her best and her only chance stay alive in the match and she did everything to push this match to a decider.

Chen almost came successful in doing so when the points read 18-19 but Sindhu wouldn't let that happen as she was able to win the following two points to clinch the match and a spot in the finals of Dubai SSF.

This makes Sindhu the third representation from India to make it to the finals of Dubai SSF after Jwala Gutta/V Diju made it in 2009 and Saina Nehwal in 2011 respectively.

Awaiting Sindhu in the finals, is Japanese Akane Yamaguchi against whom she tasted success in the group stages.
