Vietnam GP: Lakshya, Ruthvika, Shlok/Arjun enter pre-QF
LAKSHYA SEN emerged victorious against compatriot and 15th seed Abhishek Yelegar to enter the pre-quarters of Vietnam Grand Prix.
The young Indian defeated Abhishek in straight games 21-17, 21-10 and will face Thanh Long next.
It was also a good day for women’s singles shuttlers Ruthvika Shivani, Vrushali and Shreyanshi as they defeated Lianne Tan 21-14, 21-13, Jesica Muljati 21-9, 21-15 and Vaidehi 24-22, 21-17.
Ruthvika next plays Wang Yi Tang while Vrushali will play 6th seed Su Yu Chen next. Shreyanshi will play 3rd seed Dinar Dyah next.
In the men’s doubles, 5th seeds Arjun MR/Shlok Ramchandran defeated Arun George/Sanyam Shukla 21-18, 19-21, 21-17 to play Hang Yee Low/Jinn Hwa next.
