IT'S ALL OVER for Indian shuttlers at the New Zealand Grand Prix Gold after the exit of Sourabh Verma and HS Prannoy in the quarter-finals.

7th seed Sourabh played first, against Lee Cheuk Yiu of Hong Kong. The Indian lost in straight games 19-21, 16-21.

After his exit, all eyes and hopes were on USA GPG winner Prannoy who played against 11th seed Hsien Yu Lin. But he lost 10-21, 22-20, 21-23.

The 4th seed Indian had a rough start, losing the opening game 10-21. But bounced back with a magnificent performance in the second to win 22-20.

The final game was closely contested, both shuttlers being at loggerheads with each other. Some great shots and net play were on display from both the shuttlers. Towards the end of the game, Chinese Taipei shuttler proved to be too good for Prannoy.

Scores levelled at 21-21, Hsien took the following two points to win the match and seal a place in the semi-finals.
