Sindhu's name shortlisted for Padma awards among many other eminent personalities
PV SINDHU'S success has earned her a lot of accolades and another one might soon be added as she has been nominated for the Padma awards.
She is among 150 other personalities from different walks of life. The other sports person in the list is wrestler Sakshi Malik who won Bronze at Rio Olympics.
Sindhu had a great outing in 2016, winning Silver in Rio and then she won her first Superseries Premier title in China.
She has also begun 2017 on a good note by winning the Premier Badminton League and she ended up losing just one match out of seven that she played.
Some other personalities that are listed include, Paralympian Deepa Malik, Google chief Sundar Pichai, Microsoft head Satya Nadella, Indian American governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina etc.
The awards will be announced on the eve of Republic Day.
