Indian eves once again falter against Great Britain at England tour

IN THE FOURTH GAME OF THE 5 MATCH SERIES, the Indian eves lost the match 2-4 to a resistant Great Britain.

Indian Eves started the game strongly making inroads into the opposition but struggled to pierce through Great Britain’s defence. The home side took the lead and Quek opened the scoring in the 14th minute from their first penalty corner. The first quarter ended with a scoreline of 1-0.

In the 2nd quarter, India came out strongly and kept pressing into the opposition’s goal. The constant attack from the visitors paid rich dividends and he Indian team earned their first goal. Ritu Rani scored the opening goal for India on the 22nd minute. At half time the score line was locked at 1-1.
 
As the 3rd quarter of the match went underway, both teams started strongly but Great Britain succeeded in scoring the 2nd goal. Twig from Great Britain scored the goal in the 32nd minute via a penalty corner. Great Britain won another penalty corner but Rajni made a brilliant stop. The 3rd quarter ended with a score line of 2-1.
 
The 4th quarter saw the home side in an all-out attack mode. England scored their 3rd goal of the match via a penalty corner. Ansley converted the penalty corner in the 52nd minute. But the Indian women bounced back strongly as Vandana converted a penalty corner in the 57th minute, a  late Alex Danson goal sealed the deal for the home side. The match ended with a score line of 2-4. 

India play their fifth  match of the series against Great Britain on the 9th of May, 2016.
