INDIA WON THE gold medal at the Hockey 5s Asia Cup 2023, beating arch rivals Pakistan in the final by penalties.
The game was a re-match after Pakistan beat India in the group stage. India recovered well for the rest of the campaign, getting their way to the final.

Through this tournament India have also qualified for the Hockey 5s World Cup that will take place next year in Muscat, Oman.
