A repeat of Olympics final at India SS as Sindhu defeats Sung Ji to clash against Marin

PV SINDHU emerged victorious against Sung Ji Hyun of Korea, winning an exhilarating three game match, 21-18, 14-21, 21-14 to enter finals of India Superseries held in New Delhi.

She continued her dominance and smashing shots in the opening game she played. It was a tight start to the game, both the shuttlers giving it their all and not letting go. Sung was leading at one point and then the Indian came back stronger to snatch away the lead and took great control of the game.

Though Sung looked she would be in lead as she took two break points but Sindhu was just one good shot away to take the opening game to her name.

A similar start to the second game but later into the game, it looked like Sung wanted the match to go into a decider. Rectifying her shots, she took the lead at the interval and after that it was no stopping the Korean to take the game.

In the second game, it was Sung's turn to show off her smashing shots and it was too late for Sindhu to comeback. Sung, just like she wanted pushed the match into a decider.

In the final game, Sindhu looked very determined to seal a spot in the finals as she began with some great shots and left Sung Ji gasping for her breath. It also left the second seed frustrated as nothing was going in her favour. The Indian had a seven point lead at the interval, 11-4. After the interval, a series of errors from Sindhu helped Sung Ji regroup herself and tried her best to get back in the match.

But then, Sindhu's lead kept getting higher and from thereon it looked difficult for the Korean to get back. Sindhu leading with 19 points, Sung showed great fight to but failed to cut down the lead. Sindhu couldn't be tamed as she had set her mind on the final spot, winning 21-14.

This means that we'll get to witness a repeat of Olympics 2016 finals, Carolina Marin awaits the Indian in the final.
