Dwayne Smith (Retained)

The Windies all-rounder played for Mumbai Indians in his initial years in the IPL. After playing for DC and CSK, he was acquired by Gujarat franchise in 2016. Playing in 12 games, Smith managed 324-runs at strike rate of close to 150. With the ball, he picked eight wickets at an economy rate of 8.50. In the domestic leagues, the 33-year-old featured for Sydney Sixers and Islamabad United recently. 

What to expect: He has been a tremendous hit in the IPL and loves performing on the big stage. He is free off international duties and should be available for the entire season. Expect him to go hard at the bowling at the top. Also, he has the tendency to break partnerships with the ball. We see him being an integral part of the Gujarat team.
