Kirsten likely to return for another IPL stint, might coach Rajkot
GARY KIRSTEN'S RELATIONSHIP with Indian cricket is special. Ever since the former South African helped the Indian team to glory in the 2011 World Cup, fans in our country have shown enormous respect and love for the southpaw.
Post the World Cup, Kirsten departed on a high note but came back to coach the beleaguered Delhi Daredevils for the previous two editions of the IPTL. However, another dismal performance from the Daredevils in 2015 saw the management remove Kirsten from the coaching department.
However, the highly accomplished coach is likely to continue his long and healthy relationship with Indian cricket as he is slated to join the debutants Rajkot for the 2016 edition of IPL.
As reported by Indianexpress, the players picked during the draft have been told that the team in all likelihood will get Kirsten on board.
