He started playing at Mohammedan Sporting in his youth days and then moved on to Prayag United to make his debut in the I-League. Here he proved his defensive abilities to earn himself a ticket to the national team. And from that break he made sure his was always a regular for the country.

For East Bengal too, the defender has has been an integral part since he joined the team in 2012. The team relies on his confidence to hold off attackers without too harsh play.
