Seityasen Singh

Seityasen Singh

This Manipuri lad has been known for his darting runs up the wings and some killer crosses ever since he emerged in the national scene back in 2011. Playing for Royal Wahingdoh in the 2nd Division League, he was one of the young prodigies that made that made the critics earmark that club for future successes at the highest level.

And it didn't take long. The club earned its promotion into the I-League and in 2014-15 put up a fight that took everyone by surprise. They finished third in the league on their top-flight debut season, causing many upsets along the way, and Seityasen had a major role to play in it through his stinging passes, the 6 goals he scored and the lethal on-field partnership he formed with childhood friend Jackichand Singh.

Debuting in ISL last year, he appeared in 6 matches for the highlanders and netted one goal. But during the same time, he was working his way into the national team, where he has almost achieved a regular status by now.

At 24, Seityasen is only getting better, and is ready for bigger responsibilities in the NEUFC team. And being one of the best domestic players in the team, he is likely to start a lot more games for the franchise this time around.
