I am not bothered about any batsman around the world, says SRH pace sensation Mustafizur

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD'S MUSTAFIZUR RAHMAN has been spot on with his bowling in the ongoing IPL. In fact, the left-arm seamer has arguably been one of the best bowlers in the tournament, making life difficult for the batsmen with his variations.

The Bangladeshi bowler was the only player from his country to have been picked up during IPL 2016 auction held in February. Having taken 7 wickets so far at an economy rate of 5.75, Mustafizur clearly appears to be Hyderabad’s best buy so far.

In an interview with cricbuzz, when Mustafizur was asked if he feared any bowler, the 20-year-old boldly responded that there was no batsman who really bothered him.

“I have absolutely no favourites, I am happy to take every wicket that I get. And there is no batsman in the world who really bothers me. I know that if I can perform to the best of my abilities, I will find a way to stop each and every one of them.”

The left arm pacer also conceded that he was unfazed by the thought of bowling to an in-from Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni. Reflecting upon his last encounter with Dhoni, in WCT20 group stage match, Mustafizur said,

“They are all great players, but I try to stick to my strengths. And let's make it very clear, that Bengaluru game was out of my system the very next day. In cricket, you can't sit and brood over things that have already happened. I don't even know when our game against Dhoni's team (Pune Supergiants) is, but as and when we play, I will give my best shot.”

The left arm seamer also admitted on having no secrets behind his famous off-cutter. He also added that it is a great learning curve to bowl under the guidance of Ashish Nehra.
