Bombay HC allows RPS to host May1st game against the MI in Pune
The Bombay HC granted permission for the Rising Pune Supergiants to host its home game against the Mumbai Indians in Pune, after the BCCI seeked permission to play one match as an exception in Maharashtra in May.
Earlier, the HC had asked the BCCI to shift all of the matches scheduled to be played in Maharashtra in May outside the state due to a severe drought crisis in the region.
The match between RPS and MI is the return leg of the first encounter between the two sides in Mumbai earlier.
RPS had gone on to win that game by nine wickets, which also happened to be the opening game of the ongoing IPL season.
