Morgan arrives in Kolkata amidst fanfare, attends East Bengal's morning practice sesssion

NEWLY APPOINTED East Bengal coach Trevor James Morgan has reached Kolkata amidst much fanfare and intends to get involved with the team as soon as possible.

The British coach who had a successful and popular 3 year spell with the Red and Golds from between 2010-2013 was recently announced as the successor of Biswajit Bhattacharya, who stepped down after East Bengal lost to Bengaluru FC, practically ending their hopes of competing for the I-League title.

He landed in Kolkata last night where a throng of supporters had gathered at the airport to welcome him back to the club.

After landing, Morgan clarified that he was going to get involved with the team immediately, and also travel to Shillong to watch their last match in the I-League.

Accordingly, he was present at the Howrah Stadium during the club's morning training session.

Morgan is expected to take charge of the squad right after the I-League comes to an end, and begin preparations for the upcoming Federation Cup which starts in the first week of May.
