East Bengal appoint their goalkeeping coach Sanjay Majhi as interim head coach for I-League

EAST BENGAL HAVE appointed their goalkeeping coach Sanjay Majhi as their interim head coach for the two remaining matches of the I-League.

The new head coach, Trevor James Morgan, has been appointed but will only take charge after the I-League ends; ahead of the Red and Golds' Federation Cup campaign.

Meanwhile Sanjay Majhi, a renowned striker in his playing days and the current goalkeeping coach in East Bengal, will step up to lead the squad in the 2 remaining I-League matches against Sporting Clube de Goa and Shillong Lajong at a time when they still have a minuscule chance of coming back into the title race.

East Bengal play Sporting Clube de Goa at home tonight and Shillong Lajong away on 24th, the last day of the league season. The Federation Cup is set to begin on the first week of May.
