It is almost beyond plausible to think that Zingano, who has been missing in action for over a year following her 14-second loss to Ronda Rousey, is ranked #3 in the ever-evolving division. However, prior to that loss, she was unbeaten in her 9 pro fights and was deemed to be the toughest challenge for Rousey's crown.
Zingano though has a TKO win over Miesha Tate in what was only the second-ever women's fight in the UFC, back in 2013. She also has a TKO finish over Amanda Nunes which was her last win, in 2014.
Zingano has a solid wrestling base and effective striking, making her one of the hardest to finish and in her fights against both Miesha and Nunes, displayed tremendous heart to eke out wins after being down in the initial rounds. However, she has always had trouble getting off to a good start and in a way maybe overcompensated for it by rushing in against Rousey who caught her in an improvised armbar for the submission win.
A rematch with her and Miesha would be a great sell for the UFC if that's how they want to go anytime soon.
