Demien Maia vs Matt Brown
Demain Maia is possibly one win away from a welterweight title shot and standing in his way is the 'Immortal' Matt Brown. Also set for UFC 198 in Curitiba, Brazil, this one is a very interesting match of styles.
Maia has been on fire since his move to the 170-lbs division and had wins over surging contenders such as Gunnar Nelson and Neil Magny last year. A win over Magny, who is ranked 8 in the division will be a huge feather in the cap for Maia in his quest for UFC gold as the others above him, with the exception of Woodley and Thompson, have had their crack at the division crown.
The match itself should be a fun one, with Brown's non-stop action-setting pace against the wily, trap-filled grappler in Maia. Brown is notoriously hard to finish and we all know that when Maia gets a hold of his opponent, it usually signals the beginning of the end for them.
