East Bengal fine Do Dong-hyun, exclude him from practice for his matchday misbeheaviour
THE EAST BENGAL team management has taken a strong step to address Do Dong-hyun's misbehaviour after being substituted in the match against Aizawl FC.
The South Korean attacking medio reacted being called off before the hour mark at Barasat Stadium, kicking a water bottle and turning over a chair right in front of head coach Biswajit Bhattacharya. He then proceeded to walk off from the field of play and an official had to plead with him to return to the reserve bench.
As a punishment, Dong-hyun was not allowed to take part in the practice yesterday. And he is also facing a hefty fine of an undisclosed amount.
The decision seems to have been taken by the higher ups in the club, who wish to send a strong message to Do Dong-hyun and any other player about their behaviour in front of the coach and on the field.
