Biswajit Bhattacharya holds his tongue on Do Dong-hyun's misbehaviour, praises Jairu

EAST BENGAL COACH Bikash Bhattacharya was visibly unhappy with Do Dong-hyun's behaviour after being substituted during the match against Aizawl FC, but he refrained from making any comments about it.

About the substitution around the hour mark, which saw the coach take South Korean attacking medio Do Dong-hyun off to field Joaquim Abranches, Bhattacharya said,

"After Abranches came on he played the passes well, and the team got a bit more speed."

East Bengal broke the deadlock soon after and went on to win the match 2-0 but Dong-hyun was not happy for being taken off. He kicked a bottle, overturned a chair in the reserve bench and tried to leave the field. Bhattacharya, who completely ignored the player during his tirade, refused to comment on the matter,

"The supporting staff will look into it, I don't want to comment on it right now... people who do well on the pitch will stay in the team, it's as simple as that."

But he was quick to praise Bikash Jairu, who scored the first goal for East Bengal some 70 minutes into the game,

"Bikash Jairu played much better today than the last couple of games. He's an asset for us."
