East Bengal medio Sehnaj Singh injured: ruled out of Mumbai clash, may miss Derby

EAST BENGAL midfielder Sehnaj Singh picked up an injury during practice today and has been ruled out of Sunday's match against Mumbai FC.

The Red and Golds where having their first practice session since arriving in Mumbai, and that was when the injury happened.

The Punjabi defensive midfielder who played for East Bengal's arch-rivals Mohun Bagan last season and was a part of their victorious I-League campaign, subsequently played 9 matches for Delhi Dynamos in the ISL. The 22 year old also got a chance to play for the Indian national team last year, and so far he has collected 5 international caps.

Although missing him in an away game against Mumbai FC is a problem, East Bengal will be more worried about the very real possibility that Sehnaj may not recover ahead of the league's first Kolkata Derby to be held on 23rd January.
