Spaniards Granollers/Maceiras clinch doubles title in Pune ATP Challenger

THE NO.4 SEEDS Gerrard Granollers and Adrian Maceiras edged out Divij Sharan (IND) and Maximilian Neuchrist (AUT) in a super tie-break 1-6, 6-3, 10-6 to win the doubles title in the KPIT Pune ATP Challenger today. 

The Spaniards got broken early and lost grip of the first set in a flash. Later, in the second set, Sharan/Neuchrist wasted a few chances to drive home the advantage, but Granollers/Maceiras converted their only break-point opportunity to level the match. 

There was little to separate seeds three and four and both teams fancied their chances in the super-tiebreak. In the end, Granollers/Maceiras held their nerve to win the tie-break 10-6 and emerged victorious in an hour and 10 minutes.
