Amul topical pays tribute to Praggnanandhaa's mother Nagalakshmi's relentless support of her grandmaster son

AMUL HAS PAID a tribute to the sacrifices R Praggnanandhaa's mother has made to build her son up as a global chess superstar.

Praggs, as he is fondly known to chess fans around the world, became the youngest player to reach the FIDE World Cup final in the tournament's history at just 18 years old. At the final, images of him with his motheer Nagalakshmi went viral as she proudly greeted her son after his son took the world number one player Magnus Carlsen to tiebreaker before losing a close final.

Amul's latest 'topical' cartoon, which is knwon for addressing big events across the country, is based on the same subject, highlighting the positive impact mothers have in the lives of their children.
