DIY Signing: Malaga fans, angry at lack of transfer announcements, "sign" random tourist

THE MALAGA FANS took things into their own hands when the club management didn't deliver the goods.

Well into August, the Spanish club hasn't announced a single signing. The fans have been demanding new players to be brought in for months; but they havne't got their wish. So, they decided to do it themselves.

A bunch of Malaga fans went to the airport, picked a random tourist and anointed him as the new signing for the club.

The tourist was taken completely by surprise when dozens of fans swarmed him, cheering and welcoming him with the number 69 jersey of the club.

However, despite the shock, he eventually seemed to relax and go with the flow. It's not every day you get signed by a major club without even knowing about it.

The fans, meanwhile, have made news worldwide with their unique, humorous and effective protest against the club's management for their inactivity in the transfer market.
