Praggnanandhaa R has reched the grand finale of the FIDE Chess World Cup 2023.
Facing Fabiano Caruana in the semi-final, the 18 year old Indian chess prodigy went toe to toe and secured a 3.5-2.5 in the six game match-up.
He has become the youngest player ever to reach the World Cup final in the competition's history.
On 24th August, he will face the reigning number one player in the world Magnus Carlsen for the ultimate crown in global chess.
