And Miami, who previously were winless in 6 matches, suddenly went on an emphatic winning streak, going all the way to the grand finale.

And even in the final, he delivered, scoring a first half goal through a swarm of defenders in trademark fashion. Inter Miami won the cup final via penalties, winning the first ever trophy in their history.

With Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr making their mark in Saudi Pro League, Messi decided to take a different route, and it may have changed the whole fate of the David Beckham-owned club.
