This is an obvious one really. The match between Mumbai City and Chennaiyin FC was going tight, with the Mumbai defence, especially keeper Subrata Paul, holding the ground with their teeth for the first one hour and not letting a single goal in. And then there was a chance, a defensive error, that saw the ball get to Mendoza. The 23 year old Colombian took the ball and charged straight at the goal, got past an onrushing Subrata and slammed it in. Chennaiyin were 1-0 ahead. Then, within 6 minutes, another chance befell Mendoza as Elano's shot hit the bar and came back into play. Mendoza threw himself at the ball, making the header, and sending it in, sealing the game 2-0 for Chennaiyin. Marco Materazzi could now have his boys sit back and defend a comfortable lead for the rest of the game.
