Cristiano Ronaldo recognised by Guiness World Records for most internaitonal goals

CRISTIANO RONALDO'S ACHIEVEMENT in international football is now officially recognised by the Guiness World Records.

CR7, who has represented the Portugal national team in 200 matches and scored an unparalleled 123 goals for his country, was felicitated with a certificate from the globally renowned world record keepers at the start of the UEFA Euro Qualifiers match between Portugal and Iceland.

The certificate read,

"The most goals scored in international football (soccer) matches by an individual (male) was achieved by Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) between 2003 and 2021."

True to form, Ronaldo scored a goal in the 89th minute to ensure a 1-0 win for Portugal; extending his goal-scoring record.

Ronaldo is also one of the most famous people on the planet, and his instagram account is followed by over half a billion people.
