WHEN Virat Kohli made his appearance in international cricket and started scoring 100s in the ODIs, many thought that he would struggle to replicate his success in the longer version of the game.
Kohli made his debut in the mid of 2011 against the West Indies in the Caribbean and although he might have taken almost 15 innings to get to his maiden Test century, the current Indian skipper today holds 19 hundreds to his name in Test matches. The Delhi-lad has scored runs pretty much everywhere in the world. That said, runs and hundreds in England is what remains to be conquered.
While Kohli has earned the reputation of being arguably the best chaser in limited overs cricket, he has also scripted some famous wins for India with the willow in Tests too.
India will soon start their overseas trip for the Tests in South Africa, England and Australia and there is going to be pressure on the Indian captain. However, as we have seen Kohli thrives on pressure and that is almost certain to bring out the very best in him.
With almost 5000 runs at an average of 52, and form behind his back, we can expect some splendid knocks from the 29-year-old maestro.
But before the Indian team leaves the sub-continent, we take a look at some defining moments/innings in Kohli's Test career so far.
