Srikanth clinches the French SS title; his 4th SS win of the year

GOOD Habits don't die in the case of Srikanth Kidambi as winning has been part of his playing career. He defeated Kenta Nishimoto 21-14, 21-13 to lift his fourth SS title of the year at French Super Series.

It was a steady start for the Japanese Kenta Nishimoto as he grabbed an early lead in the opening game but Srikanth was quick to get back and snatched the lead. Post interval Srikanth couldn't be stopped from winning a series of points.

He maintained the lead till the end and eventually won the first game. The second game on the other hand saw a dominant performance from the 8th seed Indian who gave no room to Kenta to get back.

Post interval, though Kenta tried hard to get back, he found it difficult as Srikanth was way ahead in terms of points. It all went in favour of the Indian at the end which helped him clinch two consecutive SS title in a week's time.

It was also his 4th SS title this year. And in the new rankings, he will be the new World No. 2.
